They have had enough

of my shenanigans and have moved me to the jail ward.  Ha ha ha.  However, the guard at the desk was not thrilled with me standing outside his door taking a picture.

I am wrestling now with trying to take in enough fluids orally to keep my failing IV line capped and needing to go back on IV liquids to avoid fluid back-up in my peacefully resting colon.  They still say it might be Friday before it wakes up and wants to play.  Chances are, I’ll have to let them make a 4th attempt to get an IV line into me within the next 24 hours.

From earlier today (bear with me I am slow on the updates, I had 8 tons of rock delivered and I have been moving it instead of forwarding M’s posts)….

MMmm, breakfast

Yellow salty hot water – much better than brown – cranberry juice, and orange jell-o squares.  I may get solid foods later, depending on doc on floor.  Cox and his team are conservative, Vail and his team more aggressive.

Dr. Cox

just came in to see me, and he’s wearing a SWAT shirt and BDU pants  Turns out he goes out with the cops on high risk missions, in case there are emergency surgical needs on the spot.  He’s also cleared to work on the President.  Although he agrees I can have liquids, like the broth and sherbet I just ate, he cautioned me not to rush it.  Seriously, a cup of broth and a little cup of sherbet 3 days can hardly be considered rushing it!  Oh well, I.V. Is beeping, I better walk my butt down to the nurse’s station ’cause God knows no one will come here to fix it.  Ay yi yi!

From Marlo

I am now free to move about the cabin – or hospital room, as the case may be. My OWN PRIVATE EMPTY QUIET room! (Now that I got them to replace a defective machine that beeped continually). Still no food or water, yet, though. May be another 2-4 days before I get anything. Thanks to all for the prayers and good wishes.

Just got a call from recovery, looks like I’m leaving WAY early as she is in recovery already  and they are booking her a room on the fourth floor.

gotta go

Just got the phone  call from Dr. Cox, every thing went great and as planned! He was able to do it laparoscopically, and she will be in surgery for about another half hour, then to recovery and finally to a room in about one and a half to two hours.
